Full Description

A 19th century public house with an irregular plan constructed of rendered brick. The main range is two storeys high with a slate hip roof and single storey ranges to both sides of the front elevation. The front elevation of the main range is comprised of a central doorway flanked by a sash window at each side on the ground floorl; the first floor has three sash windows. To the rear of the main range is a red brick store with an L-shaped plan and first-floor loading bay with a pantile pitched roof. The public house was associated with a brewery of the same name that operate at the rear. The Bricklayers Arms Brewery operated c.1837-1888 and was later known as Leake Brewery. {1}{2}
