Sailor's Home was a former 19th century beer house which closed in the 1950s and was converted into a dwelling. The main part of the building is rectangular in plan, northwest-southeast orientated, with a single storey and an attic room. It is constructed of rubblestone with white render and a pitched pantile roof with a northwestern gable stack. The northwestern end of the building has two single storey extensions which create an L-shape plan of the overall building. The front elevation has two central doors covered by a door hood and a casement window at either side. {1}
