Full Description

Former railway bridge which carried the Sutton Bridge to Wisbech railway line over the South Holland Drain. The bridge would have been constructed shortly prior to the line's opening in 1866, with its dimensions being shown on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map. The bridge is no longer extant, and was likely demolished shortly after the line was closed and removed in 1959. Traces of the bridge's former position can be discerned as earthworks on the Google Maps aerial photographic layer. {1}{2}{3}{4}
