Full Description

Site of a former school. White's 1856 Trade Directory states that the National School in Allington was built in 1848 by the lord of the manor. It is shown in the same plan form on the 1888 and 1905 OS maps of Allington. The school was demolished in 1907 after the construction of a new building on the site of the current school in Marston Lane. {1}{2}{3}{4}
