Full Description

Straight drainage channel, dug in 1631 as part of wider Fenland drainage works designed by Cornelius Vermuyden. The drain runs from Cat's Water (to the south-east of Crowland) to Cloughs Cross (to the east of Throckenholt), with much of the route in Peterborough District. The part of the drain around Throckenholt forms the county boundary between Lincolnshire and Peterborough. {1}{2}
