Full Description

Former school. One and a half storey red brick building, under a steeply pitched gabled tile roof. Bargeboards and finials on gable ends. Small modern brick extensions. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the village school was built in 1850, at the expense of the lord of the manor. {2} The school can be seen in the same plan form on both the 1887 and 1905 OS maps of Aslackby. {3}{4} The school was closed in or shortly after 1963, due to low attendance. In July 1963 there were only 10 pupils attending the school. {5}
