Full Description

Former school building. One and a half storey ashlar building, under a pitched gabled tile roof. The western gable has a datestone reading '1861'. One lateral brick stack. At least one single storey modern extension has been added to the west side of the building. {1} The 1901 OS map of Stamford shows the building in an elongated T-shape plan, marked as a school. {2} The building is not listed as one of Stamford's schools in White's 1872 Trade Directory. {3}
