Full Description

Former school and schoolmaster's house. One and two storey red brick building, under a pitched gabled slate roof. Ashlar window surrounds and plinth coping. Lean-to style porch to front with pointed arch ashlar door lintel. Large gable stack to two storey range. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that the school and house were built by the lords of the manor in 1855. {2} The school was closed in December 1948. {3}
