Former school and schoolmaster's house. One and a half storey rendered and colourwashed building, under a pitched slate roof. Attached schoolmaster's house is two storey, in the same style, with a large lateral stack and a datestone on the front elevation reading '1860'. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the school and house were erected in 1860 at a cost of £660. In 1872 the school was attended by 60 pupils. {2} The buildings can be seen in their current plan form on the 1904 OS map of Gedney Hill. {3} The building ceased to be used as a school in the latter half of the 20th century and is now a private residence.
