Full Description

Site of a former school seen on the 1888 and 1904 OS maps of Thurlby. The building was demolished in the 20th century. {1}{2} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the school was erected in 1853 at a cost of £130, and was at the time attended by around 80 pupils. A house was built in the parish for the schoolmaster in 1862. {3} The site is now occupied by modern housing. {4}
