Full Description

Former National School building. L-plan one and a half storey red brick building in English Bond, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. Two lateral stacks. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that the National School was erected in 1856, and had capacity for 200 children, as well as a house for the teachers. It is assumed that this building and the former infant school (MLI126678) together formed this foundation. {2}
