Full Description

Site of a former school. Large one and a half storey brick building in cross-wing plan form, under a pitched gabled tile roof with a small romanesque cupola. Dutch gables coped in stone. Large rounded-arch windows with polychromatic headers. Four tall lateral stacks. Built in the late 19th or early 20th century, the site is occupied on the 1905 OS map by this building and another large roughly L-shape plan building fronting George Street. Neither building appears on the First Edition 25 inch OS map of Boston. {1}{2}{3} The school buildings were demolished in the late 20th century. The site is now occupied by a car park.
