Full Description
Former infant school building. Simple single storey colourwashed buff brick building in Flemish Bond, under a pitched gabled tile roof. Two squat gable stacks. {1}
Though it does not mention a separate infants' school, White's 1872 Trade Directory states that at that time 170 infants attended the Boys' (MLI91869) and Girls' (MLI126670) National Schools. It is possible that this building was in use by one of those institutions. {2}
The school was closed at some time between the wars and during the 1940s was used as a local ARP Headquarters. It is currently in use as a church. {3}
