Full Description

Former school. Two storey buff brick building in English Bond, under a steeply pitched gabled roof of slate. Polychromatic brick door and window surrounds. One large ridge stack with two dentil courses. Gabled porch with ashlar stone hood mould above door opening, and polychromatic brick dentil course below eaves. Three small modern gable dormers have been added above the large infilled window openings on the front elevation. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the school was built in 1867 by the Rev. B. Beridge. {2}
