Full Description

A large fragment of architectural stonework was found in Spetember 2021, during renovation works at the former Baptist chapel at Carlton le Moorland. The stone was thought to be of possible medieval date, and may have formed part of the base of a former pillar. It had been re-used to form part of the foundation deposits underneath the former Baptist chapel altar, although its original location and use remains uncertain. {1}
