Full Description

Farmhouse at Corner Farm, Carlton-le-Moorland. The main building is thought to date to c.1880, though the earlier, attached northern block may date to the early 18th century. Both parts of structure are of two storeys, with a T-shaped layout in plan. The earlier, northern part is largely built of hand-made red bricks, though incorporates some roughly hewn stone coursing, and has a steeply pitched roof of red clay pantiles. The later southern part is built of machine-made red bricks, with a darker string course between the two storeys, and stone window lintels. The pitched roof is at a shallower angle and covered with slates, with large chimney stacks at the gable ends. {1}{2}
