Full Description
Site of a school seen on historic OS maps of Kirton. A large sub-rectangular plan building. Not mentioned in White's 1872 Trade Directory, though he does note that the School Board was expected to rectify the 'deficiency' of Girls' or National schools in the parish; it is possible that this school is the result of that effort. {1}{2}{3}
The site is now occupied by modern housing. It is unclear when the school was demolished.
