Full Description

Former school and probable schoolmaster's house. Only one range of the building survives, a two storey dark brick building, under a hipped roof with two lateral stacks. {1} The 1905 OS map of Wainfleet shows the building marked as a school in a cross-wing plan. The surviving house formed the southern wing of the original building. {2} It is possible that this school is the National School with teacher's residence mentioned in White's 1872 as being constructed in Wainfleet All Saints in 1857. {3}
