Full Description

19th century school building. Single storey red brick building in Flemish Bond, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. Three 2 over 2 casement windows with ashlar hood moulds. The southeast elevation has a dedication stone, though no text is legible on it. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that the school was built with a house for the master in 1845. The location of the schoolmaster's house is unknown. {2} A series of modern classrooms and a new playground were added to the site in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
