Full Description

Former school building. Single storey polychromatic brick building in English Bond with buff brick banding, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. One lateral stack. {1} White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the school was erected as a National School in 1838, though documents held by the Lincolnshire archives give the date as 1837. It was then rebuilt in 1874, only to close indefinitely three years later. It was re-opened on 27 June 1878 as Orby Board School. The school was closed in 1981, with the remaining pupils transferred to Burgh-le-Marsh school. It is currently in use as commercial units. {2}{3}
