Full Description

Former school, now a village hall. Single storey red brick building in Common Bond, under a hipped tile roof, with a single pitched porch roof. Now in use as a village hall. {1} White’s 1856 Trade Directory states that the National School was built in 1837, at cost of £200, supported by the rector. {2} The building still has the same shape in plan as shown on the 1906 OS map. {3} It is unclear when the school closed and became a village hall.
