Full Description

Former school. Buff and red brick building in an L-shape plan form. under a pitched gabled slate roof. Four gabled dormers. Gabled porch. Polychromatic brick window and door arches. Three gable stacks and one ridge stack. Modern single storey extensions to the rear. {1} White’s 1856 Trade Directory states that the school was supported by subscription and attended by 100 pupils. {2} It is unclear when the school was built. It appears to have been closed in the second half of the 20th century.
