Full Description

Former school. Two storey red brick building under a pitched gabled roof. One gable stack. The building has undergone significant alteration, including window infill and the addition of a single storey extension to the front elevation. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that there was a National School in the parish at the time. {2} The building is marked as a school and shown in the same plan form on the 1887, 1905 and 1950 OS maps of the area, suggesting that the conversion took place in the second half of the 20th century. {3}{4}{5}
