Full Description

Former National School on Westmoor Lane, Kettlethorpe. A small one-storey building of red brick construction, under a pitched gabled tile roof. A porch on the front elevation has inset a decorative stone plaque, possibly showing a coat of arms, above the window. The western end of the building appears to have been extended. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory states that the school was erected in 1854. It is shown in its current form on the 1906 OS map of the village. {2}{3}
