Full Description

Probable linear archaeological features were identified in a geophysical survey. They were later confirmed when they were recordorded during trial trenching of land at Hall Farm, Raithby. Environmental evidence suggests crop growing and consumption in the area, therefore the features are assumed to be features of agricultural enclosures. The site was difficult to chronologically phase due to disturbance from archaeological features being recut and from later agricultural activity. There is, however, evidence of acitivty during the Roman and Medieval periods. {1}{2}{3}
