Full Description
Former farm building of probable mid 19th century date. The building is single-storey, and built of red brick with a pitched pantile roof. Its only opening is a timber doorway on the eastern elevation, allowing access from Middle Street. Historic map evidence shows that it originally formed part of a larger complex of farm buildings at Church Farm, on land between Middle Street and Church Lane. It was thought likely that this complex was built as part of improvements and development carried out within Corringham at the time of Enclosure, between 1848 and 1852. {1}
