Full Description
Public House. Two storey, three bay brick building. Flemish Bond front elevation, with a mix of brick bonds on the side elevations. Pitched gabled tile roof. One remaining gable stack, but likely originally two. One gable end has decorative brick tumbling, the other is cement rendered. Associated historically with a working farmstead (MLI121215).
Front elevation has inset stone panel featuring coat of arms of Charles Thomas John Moore, occupant of Frampton Manor in the 1870s. At around this time the pub changed its name from the Duke of Cumberland to Moore's Arms. White's 1856 and 1872 Trade Directories list Christopher Wilson as 'victualler' of both pubs, and as a farmer in 1872. {1}{2}{3}{4}
