Full Description

Public House. Two storey three bay stone building with a red brick façade in English Garden Wall Bond, under a tile roof with catslide to rear. Two gable stacks. Windows are modern replacements, though dark brick window and door lintels may be original. Former brick outbuilding on site now in use as a Post Office and village store. White's 1856 Trade Directory names William Pickwell as 'victualler' at the Bottle and Glass, and the 1872 Directory names George Massam. {1}{2}{3}{4}
