Full Description

Public House. Two storey three bay stone building, under a hipped slate roof. Two gable stacks. Dressed stone quoins on the corners, with a stone plinth below. Windows are replacement 4 over 16 top opening, with concrete lintels and sills. Features a narrow corner north elevation. White's 1856 Trade Directory names Edward Herring as 'victualler' at the Cross Swords, and the 1872 Directory names John Burchnell. {1}{2}{3}{4}
