Full Description
Public House, two/three storey red brick construction in English Bond, under a pitched gabled slate roof. Two gable dormers with mock Tudor gable end coping. Decorative brick door lintel and bay window lintel. Replacement windows.
Joseph Newton listed as victualler at the Chequers in both White's 1856 and 1872 Trade Directories. {1}{2}{3}
