Full Description

'An irregular mound associated with an enclosure, very probably a windmill hill'. Visited in July 1930. {1} 'An artificial mound formerly used as a foundation for a beacon'. {2} 'Now completely destroyed by the plough, nothing of interest was found on the site'. {3} The 'beacon' on the track between the churchyard and Rowting Cross. A small mound which C.W. Phillips suggests is a mill mound. Mound more or less disappeared in 1967. {4} 'Beacon'. {5}
