Full Description
Mid or late 19th century brick and tile works. These works coincide in time with residential expansion in Louth, which it probably would have supplied building materials for. Brick production cesed at some point between 1938 and 1948, when the empty pits were converted into a pond. The buildings associated with the brick production were located to the south, facing Charles Street and were demolished at some point between 1938 and 1948. By 1968 the area of the demolished buildings became a children's playground. {1}{2}{3}
