Full Description

A malt house that was constructed just to the east of Louth train station. It was probably built around the same time as the train station or shortly after, in association with it and making use of the transport links it provided. The train station was built in 1848. The malthouse was demolished and replaced by a larger and more modern malt house in the 1950s. This newer malthouse was demolished in 2015 and was replaced by a supermarket. {1}
