Full Description

The north range of a farm building complex forming the working part of Bridge Farm, Sutton Bridge. This range comprises four bonded brick buildings, likely all dating to the late 19th century or earlier. The largest, westernmost, building is a two storey barn with a gabled roof supported by a series of timber king post trusses. The original, probably tile or slate, roof has been replaced with corrugated sheet metal. A large opening on the north elevation has been infilled, and the second floor has been removed. Other material changes to the building's fabric are evident. The next building to the east is a two storey structure, with a gabled roof of corrugated metal. This building also shows signs of later modification, with the original entrances infilled with breeze blocks. The two buildings forming the east half of the range are both single story, with slate roofs. The easternmost of these has a hipped roof of pantiles adjoining its eastern elevation, which is a later addition. The interior of these buildings shows evidence of 20th century modification. {1}{2}
