Full Description
Outbuildings associated with the mid-19th century farmhouse known as the Red House, Main Street, Osgodby. The only surviving building from the original complex is a two-storey building to the south, which appears on the 1806 enclosure award map for Kirkby cum Osgodby. Significant alteration in the mid-late 20th century resulted in the demolition of the east and north ranges of the complex and the construction of the current single-storey rear lean-to and single storey side outbuilding. All three buildings are of red brick construction; the main outbuilding has a red pantile hipped roof, and the two modern additions have single pitch corrugated metal roofs. The main outbuilding appears to have been used as a cartshed and stable, with a hay loft on the upper floor. The rear lean-to building was formerly a dairy and is currently in use as a stable. The side extension was used as a piggery. A building survey was undertaken in September 2020 to inform a proposed conversion to domestic use . {1}{2}
