Full Description

A probable 19th century gamekeeper's lodge associated with Burwell Hall, named as 'Three Tree Lodge' on Ordnance Survey mapping. The building was constructed of red brick and probably ceased to fulfill its function as a lodge in the mid 20th century when Burwell Hall was demolished. It is now in use as a private residence, and was extended to the north at some point between 2016 and 2018, connecting the building to what might have originally been detached stables, or some other kind of outbuilding. A pheasantry was located just to the north of this outbuilding; it was demolished at some point in the second half of the 20th century and replaced with a tennis court. {1}{2}
