Full Description
A 19th century building built of brick with a hipped and pantile roof. It consists of three bays, the centre bay is comprised of a covered area for shoeing horses, to the flanks there are a forge and a large room which may have been a tack room or living accomodation for farm hands. It is suggested that in the early 20th century up to 12 seasonal labourers could be housed in this room. {1}
