A rectangular, concrete structure, thought to have been a former Second World War pillbox, was noted in this area to the north-east of Freiston Shore, on an aerial photograph taken in 1953. The structure was not visible on later aerial photographs taken of this area in 1971, and is thought to have been demolished in about 1960. {1}{2}
