Full Description

Three rectangular structures were noted in this area to the east of Scrane End, on an aerial photograph taken in 1940. The structures were thought to have formed part of a Second World War defence site, possibly being pillboxes defending the southern aproach to Freiston shore. The structures appear to have been demolished shortly after the end of the war, and were not visible on an aerial photograph taken of this area in 1953. {1}{2}
