Full Description

A number of linear marks bisecting the fields in this area to the east of Scrane End were noted on an aerial photograph taken in 1941. The marks were thought to probably be former anti-landing trenches, dug at the start of the Second World War to disrupt enemy landing operations. The trenches were backfilled after the end of the war. {1}{2}
