Full Description
Cropmarks of a group of sub-rectangular enclosures, possibly representing a settlement site of Iron Age or Roman date in this area to the south-east of Swallow. Visible on aerial photographs, and also noted on the Google Earth satellite imagery layer for August 2019. The largest enclosure, situated at TA 1852 0179, is sub-rectangular in shape and approximately 150m by 120m (at maximum extents). It contains many rectilinear subdivisions and, in its north-eastern corner, there is a possible large, circular pit or scoop. {1}{2}
