Full Description
A programme of trial trenching was undertaken on land at the rear of Orchard House, Priory Road, Stamford, in 2012. Two shallow postholes were identified. They were both sub-circular. The first was in the east of the trench while the second was located in the northern baulk. An undated shallow ditch was located in the east of the trench. It was orientated north-south with a rounded terminal butt end to the north, and extended beyond the southern limit of excavation. {1}{2}
