Full Description

A single sherd of medieval pottery was found in this location in October 2016, during archaeological monitoring of new residential development on land to the rear of 27 High Street. The pottery was an unglazed rim sherd from a South Lincolnshire Baston-type Oolitic jar, dating from the 13th to mid-14th century. It was recovered from a former plough soil deposit, and likely derived from former manuring activity in this area. {1}{2}
