Full Description

A row of former workers cottages at the Boston Gas Works. The cottages are thought to have been constructed in about 1871, at the same time that a major phase of expansion was conducted at the works (see MLI92060). The cottages are of two-storeys, and built of red brick, now rendered in some parts. Many modern alterations appear to have occurred, including the replacement of all the original windows and the use of modern tiles on many of the pitched roofs. {1}{2}{3}
