A milestone is depicted in this location on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map. The depiction shows the milestone giving the distance to Boston as 13 miles, and to Spalding as 3 miles. {1} No trace of the milestone could be discerned in this location on any of the Google Street View imagery for this area, suggesting it is no longer extant. A stone which may the remains of the former milestone has been noted on the Street View imagery, although ths is sited a little to the south and on the other side of the road from the OS map depiction (at TF 24604 26902). Further investigation would be needed to determine if this interpretation is correct. {2}
