Full Description

A brick built barn located to the rear of 48 Broadgate, Whaplode Drove. It was proposed to be demolished in 2021. A photographic survey of the barn was conducted in May 2021 prior to its proposed demolition. The building had an orange single clay pantile roof covering over soft red local made stock bricks set in lime/ash mortar. The front elevation had vertical boarded stable and side doors, iron tie bars and a crittall steel window. The rear elevation had a bricked up barn door opening, and another crittall steel window. The north and south elevations had the same brickwork with a window, which were possibly former vents. Internally, the roof was of timber construction. {1}
