Full Description

Chatterton Water Tower was built in 1955, as a replacement for the earlier, mid 19th century water tower in Spalding (see PRN 23572). It is of the 'Ritchie' design of concrete and reinforced steelwork, being exceptionally large at 94ft square, and has capacity for 750,000 gallons of water. The tower was built from the outset with office spaces beneath the tank, and is now owned and operated by Anglian Water. {1}
