Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Seven linear ditches, mny of which were intercutting, were recorded in this location inJune 2020, during trial trenching conducted to inform proposed development at Caenby Corner. It was thought that the ditches may have functioned as possible post-medieval boundary ditches, based on historic map regression, although no dateable material was recovered from most of the features, and this interpretation remains unconfirmed. A single fragment of possible post-medieval ceramic building material was identified in one of the ditch fills. {1}{2}
