Full Description

A small collection of Roman pottery was found in this location, to the west of Welton. The assemblage was comprised of five pieces of greyware pottery, two of which were rim sherds and one being a basal sherd. A singel basal fragment from a samian ware vessel was also recovered, as was a rim sherd from a colour-coated ware jug. {1}
