Full Description

A German Luftwaffe Dornier Do 17 crashed to the south-east of Carrington on the 8th of May 1941. The aircraft was designated 2843 (R4+GK) of NJG2 squadron. The plane was shot down by a Beaufighter from 25 Squadron, with all three crew members managing to bail out. A licence to excavate the remains of the aircraft was granted in November 2018, but was not acted upon. {1}{2}
